Kim Caton.jpg

Hello, my name is Kim Caton. I have been a child care provider for 23 years. I am a native of Newark. I am currently attending college in pursuit of a degree in Education. I have an established reputation as a childcare professional in the Newark community. I have been active in the sport of soccer as a player and a coach. Most recently, I have coached for KidzLoveSoccer, a local youth program. I am thrilled for the opportunity to be a part of the Newark School District Childcare Staff at Birch Grove Intermediate. I strive to be a positive influence on children by providing a safe, comfortable environment for them to grow and flourish. My teaching philosophy fosters development for the whole child: social, emotional, physical, creative, and cognitive. The passion for teaching young children comes from being a kid at heart myself. A favorite place to be is "The Happiest Place on Earth."

Birch Grove Primary is dedicated to the educational growth, expression, and well being of the whole child. We offer healthy snacks, and a nurturing, secure, and stimulating environment with positive guidance techniques and a balanced curriculum, in which children are able to reach their full potential in all areas of development. Including that of social-emotional, cognitive, language, ethical, physical, and creativity. Birch Grove Primary is the place to be!

‚ÄčI am Luz M. Chamberlain the new site supervisor (Lead II) at Kennedy Child Care. I have been working for the Newark Unified School District since 2001. I’m excited to begin this school year 2015 – 2016 at Kennedy Child Care. I believe Mrs. Jeet Agroia and I will make a great team and achieve our goals.
I got my Bachelor Degree in Science of Education in Bogota, Colombia where I grew up. I taught Elementary and High School classes there. I have a lot of experience working with students of different ages. Here in USA I have worked with students as teacher assistants at Elementary and High schools. I got my Associate Degree in Early Childhood Studies and I hold a California Child Development Site Supervisor Permit.
Our plan this year is to work as a team to maintain a safe and a peaceful environment for all our students. We as teachers will encourage the students to show a sense of understanding through verbal and physical expression. We enforce rules through routine and different activities such as: arts, craft, and free play to persuade a positive a relax environment. The students also have time to do homework where the teachers are available to explain and help them on difficult homework problems.
We as teachers are looking to maintain positive communication and participation with parents to help our students succeed. Please be free to contact us with any concerns or questions. Our phone number is (510)818-3441.

At Lincoln Child Care we have a goal of "Creating a caring community,” which is focused on problem-solving, flexibility, and clear boundaries. This is based on three principles: “Take care of yourself, take care of each other, take care of our school.” We are working hard to establish students with tools to, “Talk problems out which each other,” rather than hitting, pushing, name calling, or other behavior that is undesirable. It is the responsibility of everyone (staff, students, families, and the community) to create a safe and effective learning community.

Cindy McCracken.jpg Hi! My name is Isidra McCracken. I was born in the Philippines. I have a child (girl) which we dearly love. I have been a childcare provider for over 9 years. In 2006 to 2011 I worked here as a substitute while studying child development, then I had an opportunity to work full time in Preschool at Little Flower Montessori for 3 years. My plan for next year was to pursue my degree in child development. In 2015 I was hired here at Musick Childcare. I love to work with children because I know that I can make a difference in their lives. My goal is to give a child a sense of self worth by helping them develop at their own pace while learning skills. I believe that children are unique as individual and I aspire to provide a loving caring environment where children are nurtured mentally, physically, and emotionally.
