Evan Iyemura

(April 7, 2014) -- Nine-year-old Evan Iyemura threw the first pitch for Oakland Athletics season opener and autism awareness game on Saturday April 5th. Evan has high-functioning autism, is a big supporter of Walk Now for Autism Speaks and adores the Oakland Athletics. Over 700 Autism Speaks supporters bought discounted tickets and watched baseball under blue skies. Families affected by ASD were offered a quiet suite, by the Oakland Athletics, where they could watch the game if their kids needed a softer atmosphere.

Crisis Prevention Re-Certification

Melissa Estepa will be holding Crisis Prevention Re-certification training beginning October 4th. All employees are encouraged to be re-certified annually. If you have not been re-certified in 3 years, you will need to complete the full day certification process. Dates below are for re-certification only. All training will be held in the District Office Board Training Room from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30p.m.

Please email Jan Moura with your top choice and an alternate. There are only 15 seats per training.

NEW EMPLOYEES or those needing new certification will most likely be trained at Fremont Unified on a date they have available. Once I get the list set, I’ll contact FUSD to find available dates. Please email Jan Moura if you are interested.
